The Dahlins are RUGGED MANIACs

Nestled in a motocross course, on the coldest day of the year the Dahlins arose to compete in a test of wills and a fight of strength against the Rugged Maniac course. There were steep cliffs to scale, ropes to climb, slides to go down, walls to leap, endless hills to combat, tires to negotiate, mud-filled tunnels to crawl, muddy fields to trudge, barbed-wire to slither under, and flames to traverse. The Dahlins braved their way through the 5 Kilometer obstacle course. Though not unscathed, Jodi and Aaron competed against over 2000 other maniacs. Jodi being the second fastest womaniac in our heat (of 200 competitors). It was a blast.

We both, definitely, finished within the top 20 in our heat (We don't know the overall results yet)
Gotta love the mud!

WHY????
For Aaron's birthday gift this year, he requested to run in the RUGGED MANIAC MUD RUN.  What a Maniac.  Both Dahlins could barely roll out of bed this morning, so it was definitely a better plan to run it the day of, and not the day before Aaron's birthday (we are so sore)!!!

The Riddles were nice enough to watch our kids so we got tattoos with their names to thank them.

Nice legs Jodi

Jodi is ahead of Aaron... yup.

There is Jodi leaping like a ballerina... still ahead of Aaron

Now we are tied about to go down the monster slide into freezing cold water and jumping buoys.

still ahead

Living our dream of competing in wipeout

Aaron ahead of Jodi.

Not any more

Best view in the race... if you can't tell Jodi is above me.

Jack be nimble

Jodi be quick

One of many walls that we had to climb, we are now passing runners from the heat before us.

kicking the turtles butts

Eva wants to be like Mommy and Daddy.
Thanks Riddles for traveling, watching our kids, and making this day possible!!!!
Happy Birthday Aaron!
